The Chappaqua Wine & Spirit Company, located in downtown Chappaqua, NY, has been serving the community with fine wines and spirits since 1996.

Kirk Sprenger, proprietor, has over 40 years of experience in the wine field. His personal interest in fine wines directed him into the retail world in 1980 where he began his training. He began his apprenticeship at a fine wine shop located in Pound Ridge, NY.  

He remained there for over seven years until the business was sold. He then took a position as General Manager and Wine Buyer at a major wine shop in Mamaroneck, NY for the next seven years. He left Mamaroneck to combine his experience and wine expertise with a business partner to build the Chappaqua Wine & Spirit Co. 

They remained partners until the fall of 2002, when Kirk took full reins of the business in 2002.

As a wine merchant for many years, he has a keen eye for the hidden gems that his clients have come to rely on. With the ever increasing flow of blockbuster wines entering the market, Kirk says ... "our goal has been to seek these out for the sheer enjoyment and experience for our clients. Many of the wines in our selection are from boutique wineries that limit their production to small quantities, which helps maintain a very high level of quality."
