Match Vineyards “Butterdragon Hill” Cabernet Sauvignon 2003-

Match Vineyards is owned by Randy Sloan & Sasha Match. Their premiere
vineyard, Butterdragon Hill comprises seven acres farmed by Jim Barbour and the experts at Barbour Vineyards. Specializing in Napa Valley hillside vineyards, they have planted it with an extremely narrow 3x5 spacing stingily given it water by the teaspoonful until the grapes seem to cry out for relief. The grapes may not be "happy" but those droopy faces provide sophisticated flavors from lush, succulent wines. In 2003 and 2004, this vineyard also provided the grapes for a premium, single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon made by Nickel & Nickel.

Marshall Family “Carneros” Pinot Noir 2005-

Barry Marshall, winemaker of this unique Burgundy-style Pinot calls this wine one to enjoy with “holiday dinners or just sitting around and enjoying life”. This is a fantastic Pinot Noir for all, especially for fans of Burgundian wines. ‘Missing’ from this wine are some the California attributes that many old world Pinot fans find so annoying about Cali Pinot Noir. This wine is no slap in the face with Cali-typical sweet and massive flavors that can overpower your palate. Rather, this wine pleases with more refined and subdued qualities that make the wine a real pleasure to enjoy on its own, or with most foods. 450 cases produced.

Benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon 2005-

Pope Valley Winery “Eakle Ranch” Merlot 2005-

The Pope Valley Winery was originally the Burgundy Winery & Olive Factory and was managed by Ed Haus. The winery ceased operation during prohibition, but was reopened after its repeal. Ed's children, Sam & Lily Haus operated the winery until 1959. It was then abandoned until 1972 when the Devitt Family purchased it. It was too difficult a venture for the family and the winery was abandoned again. Long time Pope Valley residents Jim, Sam, and Henry Eakles, Ralf Gerdes, Manny Gomes and Rodney Young joined together to purchase this historical winery in 1998 and brought new life back into the Pope Valley. The Pope Valley Winery is an amazing spot. Twelve beautiful acres are left of the property and the adjoining three-story winery. The winery’s holdings include just over eighty acres of prime Pope Valley Vineyards planted to Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, Zinfandel, Merlot, and Petite Verdot. 1220 cases produced.
